Reports are circulating the sports world that the University of Texas is targeting Boise State offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin to replace outgoing OC Greg Davis.
Harsin has commanded the Broncos offense at Boise State since 2006, and has had a lot of success during that time, with Boise State averaging 42 points per game and 459 yards of total offense.
At this point there is no official word on whether Mack Brown has asked permission from Boise State to interview Harsin, and at the moment Boise State insiders are still surprised that Texas would have interest in their offensive coordinator.
Update
I just read from a credible source on the Texas section of rivals.com that a user is reporting that “The word from Texas admin is that Harsin is being offered a blank check and they will pay him whatever he asks.” Also that “Harsin is #1 on their list and that there no other candidates even close.”
Very interesting if true.
