Tweets all over Twitter are reporting that standout freshman Taylor Martinez has left the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team after enduring last night’s despicable antics from NU head coach Bo Pelini over Martinez reportedly texting his father to let him know he was all right.
Those of you who watched last night’s game remember seeing Pelini act irrationally at least half a dozen times, so much so that he was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for continuously using profanities toward a game official.
Update: ESPN’s Joe Schad tweeted: “Taylor Martinez’s HS coach, Matt Logan, told me he just spoke w the QB, who said: ‘Everything is fine. I haven’t quit the team.’”
