Sources close to the Ohio State football program are reporting that head football coach Jim Tressel will be stepping down after the Buckeyes’ Sugar Bowl appearance.
Controversy has swirled around the Buckeye program over the past few years, with 375 self-reported violations to the NCAA, the most (by far) in the country.
Ohio State has accumulated a 105-22 record, 1 National Championship (2002), 1 Heisman (2006 Troy Smith) and, as stated previously, several minor and major violations.
Preliminary targets for Ohio State would include Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops, Nebraska’s Bo Pelini and TCU’s Gary Patterson.
