Controversy ran wild this week in the Big 12, most notably in College Station for Nebraska at Texas A&M. Bo Pelini’s temper ran out of control when his Cornhuskers were flagged left and right in front of the largest crowd ever at Kyle Field. The Aggies continued their success under Tannehill.
Meanwhile in Austin, the Texas Longhorns finally stopped their four-game skid and came out victorious against creampuff Florida Atlantic. Texas QB Garrett Gilbert had his best statistical performance of the year, and Will Muschamp’s defense finally started to play like a “real” defense. Texas will face arch in-state rival Texas A&M this week at Darrell Royal - Memorial Stadium, this time with a bowl bid on the line for Texas.
The Rankings
1. Oklahoma State (10-1)
Oklahoma State enjoyed a week of rest. They’ll need it when they host Oklahoma this Saturday.

2. Oklahoma (9-2)
Oklahoma steamrolled Baylor. That bodes well moving forward for Bedlam this Saturday.

3. Texas A&M (8-3)
Texas A&M escaped Nebraska with a controversial victory. They now must focus on taking down arch-rival Texas to keep their Big 12 South title hopes alive.

4. Nebraska (9-2)
Things couldn’t have transpired much worse for Bo Pelini and his Cornhuskers this past Saturday night. Better pick up the pieces, otherwise Mizzou will slip past you for the Big 12 North crown.

5. Missouri (9-2)
With a Mizzou win and a Nebraska loss, the Tigers will head to Dallas for the Big XII Championship.

6. Baylor (7-5)
Tough loss for Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears. Keep your heads up, guys; you’re still heading to a bowl this year.

7. Texas Tech (6-5)
Resurgent Texas Tech continued to roll. Techies can thank FCS (D1AA) Webber State for the warm-up.

8. Colorado (5-6)
The Buffaloes are now 2-0 post Dan Hawkins. That bodes well for the future of Colorado football moving forward next year to the Pac-12.

9. Kansas State (6-5)
The roller coaster ride of Kansas State continues to roll.

10. Texas (5-6)
Good job beating Florida Atlantic. Now back to reality, and the Texas A&M Aggies. Win, and you’re headed to a bowl. Lose, and the season is over.

11. Iowa State (5-7)
Austen Arnaud is out for the season. Things can’t get much worse for the Cyclones.

12. Kansas (3-8)
