NFL Midseason Report Cards

With all teams now playing at least half of their season, it’s a good time for us to grade each team to this point. A lot of surprises thus far (we’re looking at you Oakland) and a lot of low points (we’re looking at you Brett Favre), but nonetheless it has been entertaining.

No one would have expected the Chiefs, Raiders or Rams to be in the hunt for the playoffs at this point, nor did anyone expect five playoff teams from last season to be out of the playoffs if they started today. The Browns, for the third consecutive season, have beaten the defending Super Bowl champions, but still look like the Browns we’re used to seeing. The Bengals are back to being the Bungals, while the Colts are struggling for an identity this season on offense and defense (injuries are not helping this) even with Peyton Manning putting up his usual MVP numbers.

If the first half is any indication, who knows what we’ll see in the second half. Without further delay, here’s what we think of the first half of the NFL season.
