Daniel Cormier (6-0 MMA, 3-0 Strikeforce) is one of the best wrestlers in MMA. His credentials are incredible: 4 time US World Team member, 2 time Olympian, a Gold and Bronze at the Pan Am Games, a Bronze at the 2007 World Championships. Most of his international experience was around 210 pounds, but he now fights in the 240 range. Cormier is currently the title holder for XMMA and KOTC.
Devin Cole (18-8 MMA, 0-0 Strikeforce) is also a former wrestler and he competed for Southern Oregon University. Cole has 10 knockout wins in his career.
This is a great matchup for Cormier. I cannot envision Cole offering any resistance in getting brought to the ground by the world class wrestler. I think Cormier will get a takedown and generally outwork him before ending up with a submission over Cole. Daniel Cormier via Submission, round 1.
