Boxing should be thanking the fighting gods for Manny Pacquiao. He throws more punches in bunches that guys (even the bigger guys) cant handle. Margarito after the fourth round just took a beating, and had a cut under his right eye that never seemed to stop swelling. Manny beefed up his face so bad, in the last round Pacquiao just played and toyed with him like he was sparring with a partner. Antonio just didn’t want to move his head and became target practice, even Pacquiao and his corner said they had sympathy for him and asked the ref to stop the fight.

Boxing as we all know is a sport that just seems to not die. These guys need to restructure the fights in a way that would force Mayweather to fight Pacquiao. They need to find a way to make it so that people don’t just show up for a payday and ham it up in the ring before they go to a decision. These promoters and everyone who backs boxing needs to try to make it exciting again. I’m not trying to say that I didn’t like the fights, I’m just saying it was no Tyson Pay Per View, it wasn’t like watching the old Ali fights, and to be perfectly honest it wasn’t as exciting as seeing Brock Lesnar get his face broke open last UFC Pay Per View. I’m a big fan of boxing and hope to see it make a comeback into the spotlight, but I just don’t see that happening.

As for Floyd Mayweather v.s Manny Pacquiao… I also don’t see that happening until someone else knocks Manny out or until Floyd goes bankrupt. Mayweather is a smart guy and won’t fight anyone if he isn’t 100% sure he will win. Don’t confuse this with being cocky and thinking he can win because I really believe Mayweather thinks he can beat Manny but I don’t think he KNOWS 100% he can beat Manny. Hence the reason why we haven’t seen it happen yet. If it does happen anytime soon my prediction is that we see Floyd with a swollen face and busted eye and Manny is exhausted from missing more punches than he has in any other fight he’s been in. I have Pacquiao coming out victorious.

Boxing needs to make this fight happen. Not on Mayweather’s terms not on Pacquiao’s terms, but on Boxing’s terms. Come on Mayweather let Boxing breathe a little bit get in the ring bud. By not fighting Pacquiao more and more boxing fans are straying from the sport and tuning into MMA fights. I don’t care but it seems like the boxing promoters do alot, just take a look at the clip of Joe Rogan and Lou DiBella debating the topic on Youtube.com. At least in MMA your more likely to see two guys trying like hell to beat the teeth out of each other, or champions willing to take on any opponent who dares to step into the ring with them. I mean for the sake of the sport every Boxing Pay Per View should have a guy defending his belt against another guy who wants nothing more than to wear that championship belt. I feel like more and more I see a lees skilled opponent fighting a more skilled boxer. Not fun. Shake up the sport and force boxers to fight.

My night will end with me being satisfied from the fight I watched tonight but not satisfied with the world of Boxing. You get me a Floyd “Money” Mayweather v.s Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao Pay Per View and I’ll be happy though. Lets try to give Max Kellerman something to really be excited about, “BOOM, BOOM, AND ANOTHER ONE POW POW”! But as much as I criticize the Boxing world I do watch just about every fight they have. My buddies call call me the “Under-card King” because I always am trying to soak in as many of the fights that I can from the Pay Per View. Hey, why not those guys usually slug it out.

I use to love when a guy would go down early in the first against Tyson and you would see like two more fights after him and the whole Pay Per View was free. Back then everywhere you went had the fight, now your lucky to find five guys to throw in to pay for the event. Everyone wants to watch it but no one wants to pay. I don’t even want to pay but I just love a night of fights, cant say no.
