Week 15 in the NFL gave its audience several intriguing match-ups that certainly didn’t disappoint. The Chargers kicked things off with a 34-7 thumping over the 49ers to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Eagles came back from a three-touchdown deficit to pull off a miraculous comeback over the Giants. The Ravens beat the surging Saints in a thriller. The Colts kept their playoff hopes alive after beating the pesky Jaguars. The New York Jets went into Heinz Field and smacked the Steelers around. The Patriots received all they could handle in a tough win over the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers. Brett Favre started for the Packers last night, but was forced out of the game due to injury. All in all, it was one of the more exciting weeks of football all season long. After the dust settled, here’s how the power rankings look:

1. New England Patriots (12-2): An ugly win is still a win, and they control their destiny. A win over the Bills secures home field throughout.

2. Atlanta Falcons (12-2): They made quick work of the Seahawks, and like the Patriots, a win this weekend (over the Saints) secures home field throughout.

3. Baltimore Ravens (10-4): Baltimore handled the Saints and showed the league they’re an elite team. They face Cleveland this week and could have a tough time.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (10-4): Big comeback win over the Giants to take control of the NFC East. They host the Vikings this weekend.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4): Tough loss to the Jets at home. They can get back on track as they’ll host Carolina on Thursday.

6. New York Jets (10-4): It looks like the Jets figured out how to score, as they won in a rough environment. They face another tough test in Chicago this weekend.

7. Chicago Bears (10-4): After getting walloped by the Patriots, they took out their frustration on Brett Favre and the Vikings. They’ll host the Jets.

8. New Orleans Saints (10-4): The Saints were brought down to Earth in Baltimore. It doesn’t get any easier this weekend, as they’ll be on the road in Atlanta.

9. Kansas City Chiefs (9-5): Matt Cassel comes back and the Chiefs win. The Titans come to town.

10. New York Giants (9-5): They lost in a stunner this past weekend to the Eagles. This had to hurt, as all they had to do was kick it out of bounds to salvage a tie. They have a tough road game in Green Bay.

On the bubble: Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
