The Nets are lately driving me up a wall. The moves they are making leave me baffled. This team is rebuilding, everyone. That means it takes time, it doesn’t occur overnight. Williams, the explosive forward/guard coming off an astonishing 3-game D-league stint, will be traded tomorrow to the Houston Rockets in a three-way trade. This trade gives the Nets Sasha Vujacic, a spot-up, long range shooter from Los Angles, a 2011 first round pick from the Lakers and a 2012 first pick from the Houston Rockets. Why, fans i ask would you trade away a potential all-star for someone who’s averaged 4.8 PPG, 1.2 APG and 1.7 RPG. Terrence, on the other hand, has prowess to be a great source of penetration, shooter and has even showed more than average ability at running the point. I feel we have our three-point threats in Farmar and Morrow. We need players like Williams who can quicken the pace and shake up a defense.
Next we have Morrow’s hamstring pull, and i feel in this situation you start Farmar at the two guard and bring Outlaw back and get his rhythm going. Damion James, the rookie and a huge bright spot for New Jersey will be out for a while with a broken foot. My articles can usually be very extensive and I drive my point home with a lot of follow up points. The bottom line for me here, I am horrified at these decisions by this organization I love Avery and that he has brought this team to a point at which they can compete, and I accept the fact it will take a while for them to start winning consistently. For me it all went wrong when they parted with Jason Kidd, and VC. Yes, I know, Kidd is older, but will always be able to run the floor, and make others around him better. He still is posting great numbers at his age for Dallas, and the Nets would have a lot more fan support with him still wearing a number 5 on his back. As for VC its almost the same case , but he is a clutch shooter and really hasn’t slowed, we should have made much better use of him, as he, Harris and Lopez could have been more than lethal.
I don’t want to rant, because I’ve had a lack of Comments on my extensive articles, and this is the voice of the fan, correct? So, Nets fans, basketball fans talk to me about your concerns, opinions, future and past of this team.
