With the Crimson Tide getting dismantled at the hands of South Carolina, Ohio State and Oregon take the top two spots. It appears that with Mark Ingram’s Heisman repeat starting to look less likely, Terrelle Pryor and LaMichael James are shaping up to be Heisman front-runners as their teams sit atop the TSJ Top 25.
Only two first place votes separate the Bucks and Ducks in the closest battle for the top ranking to date. The battle for number three heats up as Nebraska closes the gap on Boise State. Only 28 points separate 5th ranked TCU and 8th ranked Alabama.
South Carolina, Michigan State, and LSU were all big movers in the positive direction. Big wins for each moved them ahead of teams that won football games. Missouri also moved forward several spots in the TSJ Top 25.
But as teams move up, some must move down. Losses by Florida, Alabama, and Michigan all moved those respective teams down several positions.
