Kevin Garnett posted the first 25/20 game of his spectacular career on 12/27/1999 and for that performance he headlines my “Daily Flashback” for December 27, 2010. Larry Bird also recorded one of his last career 30/10/10 games against the Kings in 1989 and Richard Hamilton exploded for 51 points in 2006.
I also look back at one of the worst shooting performances in NBA history in 1991 and Larry Johnson going bananas in 1993.
Welcome back to my daily column where I look back at the current day in NBA history and choose five games or incidents that occurred on that day and deliver video and boxscores for you to view at your leisure.

Bird posted 37 points, 11 boards, and ten assists in 49 minutes against the Kings in 1989 - one of just five times he posted 30/10/10 in his legendary career.
Larry was coming off a devastating injury that wiped out most of his 1988-89 season and most wondered if he would ever return to form.
He answered that question definitively on this night.
December 27, 1991 - Tim Hardaway sets record by shooting 0-17

I suppose if I’m going to highlight impressive performances I need to display the terrible as well so here you go.
Hardaway set the NBA record for most field goal attempts without a make against the Timberwolves in 1991 by going 0-17 in the Warriors’ overtime win.
He did dish out thirteen assists though, so all was not lost.

Garnett posted the first 25/20 game of his career against the Magic by scoring 26 points and grabbing 23 boards.
He also dished out seven assists and blocked four shots for good measure.
Garnett had previously posted two 20/20 games before this one but had never cracked the 25 point plateau while accumulating twenty rebounds.

Larry Johnson was a rising star by the time he dropped 29 points on the Pistons while grabbing 20 rebounds.
Johnson’s teammate Alonzo Mourning added 29 points and seven boards.
Remember Muggsy Bogues? He chipped in with eleven assists.

Hamilton has always been a decent scorer but he went absolutely bananas in this one, scoring 51 points on 19-37 shooting from the floor and 12-12 from the line**. **He also attempted just one three pointer which made this performance even more amazing.
A guy you may have heard of named Stephon Marbury scored 41 points for the Knicks.
Oh, and Eddy Curry added 33.
