Dwyane Wade and Spike Lee have united to deliver a clever and witty commercial for T-Mobile mocking the often wacky NBA trade season.

That Wade is a pretty funny guy, even without Charles Barkley by his side.

The fact that Sir Charles makes an appearance once again makes it that much better.

Lee and Wade have created two new NBA ads for the Christmas season. The “Outta Here” commercial is the ad I’m referring to in the headline and is represented below.

The video is just sixty-seconds long and totally worth your time.

The Sun Sentinal recently asked Wade if he had an issue working with Spike Lee:

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade said Thursday that he did not think twice about working with Spike Lee on his latest T-Mobile commercial, even with Lee a rabid New York Knicks fan.

  • “First of all,” Wade said, “Spike is a great director. So to have an opportunity to work with him for my third time was good. He keeps it easy on you. But also knowing that he’s the opposition, in a way also made it cool, made it funny, as well.”*

  • In the spot, while trapped in a bathroom, Wade sends a “Get Me Outta Here!” video message, triggering speculation about a trade from the Heat.*

  • “It just shows that anything you do or say could be taken in a different context,” he said with a grin. “It was a fun idea and a cool spot to do.”*

This ad will debut during games on Christmas according to NBCSports.com.

I am not Wade’s biggest fan - ever since he teamed up with LeBron James he has made a few arrogant comments that are not typical of his past behavior and I’m not a huge fan of selling out.

However, I can’t deny Dwyane’s ability to deliver fantastic commercials.

Remember the ads with the legendary Charles Barkley? You don’t?

Here are a few to view at your leisure:

Always good to know that despite all the vicious media-types out there (myself included) Sir Charles and Wade can still poke fun at themselves and the rest of us.

Well done, guys.
